Furniture from the Vero collection is covered with natural grain leather.
Just touch it. What distinguishes the Vero brand can be sensed immediately. Our furniture – in its entirety and not just some parts – is covered with natural grain leather. It is a high-quality, soft leather, very soft to the touch, but at the same time very durable, with a beautiful, clearly visible texture.
Furniture leather is available in several grades, which differ not only in colour, but also in thickness, softness, texture as well as destination. You can feel the differences to the touch.
SV Vintage leather
This is a special group of leathers in the Vero collection, also known as vintage style leather (Nubuck).
This type of leather undergoes a special treatment process to achieve a natural, slightly matt appearance, reminiscent of leather that has been used for many years.
This process involves a gentle sanding of the grain, which makes the surface of the leather rougher and more uneven, thus creating an impression of age and wear.
An undoubted advantage of this type of leather, is its pleasant soft and warm feel (grip). Due to the open structure of the surface, these leathers, unlike varnished leathers, absorb moisture more easily, including perspiration.
The result of this natural behaviour is that a “patina effect” develops relatively quickly on the surface. Which means that the leather darkens in areas of contact with the body. In turn, areas that are exposed to sunlight will become lighter over time. This is a typical effect, characteristic of ground Nubuck leather. The leather has the appearance of rustic cowhide, so the patina that develops over time will give it an extra rustic touch.
SV ‘Vintage’ leather is available in classic shades of brown, beige and green to match different interior design styles. The leather is also extremely durable and hardwearing, making it an ideal choice for those who value both style and functionality.
S2 Superiore leather
These are leathers with the highest performance qualities, with a thickness of 1.3 -1.5 mm. The leathers in this group are soft and “fleshy” to the touch, with a concise fibre weave structure, making them resistant to stretching.
The thickness of these leathers, as well as their high quality, makes the creasing process in this group progress the slowest, and they are extremely durable in use.
This type of leather has a varnished face, which makes it easier to clean as stains do not penetrate it. Due to its excellent performance parameters, S2 leather is particularly recommended for institutional and hotel furniture.
This leather is extremely durable and resistant to wear.
